When Hope Burned White is a collection of 10 short stories that explore ideas of hope, isolation, frustration, loneliness, and taking control of the little things when there is nothing else.
When life burns you down to coals, this is what’s left.
Each story is about a page in length. They are more emotionally charged than my previous collection, Flashes of the Hypersonic Express. Many are also thematically darker, but they retain a similar air of whimsy and random encounters.
Each story was also inspired by single card from the Dixit Card Game, which I will post at the end of each story.
I hope you’ll join me for the next 10 weeks as we explore a series of personal human moments full of passion, regret, and wonder. See you soon.
